Don’s Law Offices are located in the city of Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan.  His practice is focused in southeastern Michigan, but extends to numerous courts across the state.  He graduated cum laude from the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University College of Law), having earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Wayne State University.

Don’s trial court practice includes civil litigation in District and Circuit Courts, Family Court and Probate Court matters, and criminal law in District and Circuit Courts.  His practice has also included both civil and criminal matters in Federal Court.

In addition to serving as a Magistrate in two District Courts (the 44th and 52nd District Courts), he has been appointed Mediator in District Court, Circuit Court and Family Court.

Don was a longtime member of the Board of the Royal Oak Historical Commission. He was also the co-chair of the Royal Oak Acorn Municipal Foundation, and is a past chair of the Royal Oak Youth Assistance Commission.  He is also a member and officer of his parish’s St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Don is a member of the Royal Oak Rotary Club and is a Past Officer of Rotary International. He has served his club and district in numerous capacities.  He was elected a Delegate to Rotary’s Council on Legislation in 2007 and 2010 (Rotary’s tri-annual international parliament). Don is Operations Director of Great Lakes Rotary PETS (a Rotary Presidents-Elect Training Seminar consortium covering almost all of Michigan, and parts of both Indiana and Ontario, Canada) and is his district’s Rotary Foundation Chair.  Don has participated in National Polio Immunization efforts in India and Mali, Africa.

His hobbies are U.S. Civil War reading and touring, sunfish sailing and kayaking.
